Join us for Playing for the Planet and Support 350 Mass!
Mark your calendars for an exciting musical collaboration between the Kalliope Reed Quintet and Playing with the Planet! Please join us on Sunday July 12th at 7pm EST for a Virtual Benefit Concert featuring an exciting mix of contemporary music from this colorful combination of oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, and saxophone, with all proceeds going to benefit 350MA! We'll hear new climate-reflecting works by local composers, among them Divergences by Zach Gulaboff Davis, Splinter by Marc Mellits, and Becky Turro's Thaw; the program will conclude with a fantastic arrangement of George Gershwin’s American in Paris. This is our second virtual benefit concert, and we're looking forward to bringing you more of them in the months to come!
The concert will benefit 350 Mass, a local climate group that is building a grassroots response to the climate crisis. 350 Mass has 18 nodes across the state and each one supports local climate policies as well as larger statewide initiatives. Currently, 350 Mass is working on a campaign to build a statewide Green New Deal in MA.
The concert will be held on zoom, and you will be emailed a link to the event after you make your donation. We are suggesting donating $25 per person, but anything you can give is welcomed and will directly support 350 Mass. Please email Erica Rotman, Director of Development at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
If you would prefer to send us a check, you can send your check to Better Future Project, 30 Bow Street, Cambridge, MA 02138. Memo line: 350 Massachusetts, Playing for the Planet. If you choose to donate with a check, email Erica Rotman at Erica@betterfutureproject.org so you can still get the zoom link.
Please make sure to save the automatic email that you receive after donating because it contains the zoom link and password for the event.
