Join Affordable Energy Advocates at the State House on Wednesday, September 23, at 1 PM!

Energy bills are rising, families are feeling the strain, and lawmakers are deciding the future of Massachusetts energy policy right now.

Join climate and community advocates at the State House to demand a strong, equitable energy affordability bill that lowers costs, ends wasteful gas spending, and invests in a cleaner energy future.

We are calling on State House leadership and the Energy Affordability Bill Conference Committee to:

• PROTECT Mass Save - We need to build on Mass Save’s progress lowering energy costs and improving energy efficiency for all, NOT cut its funding. 
  
• PROTECT SELF-ATTESTATION - Remove new income-verification requirements that would shut more moderate-income households out of benefits they have already paid for.
• END GSEP - Stop forcing ratepayers to spend billions on wasteful gas infrastructure. Adopt the Senate’s proposal to end the program.
• PROTECT ALTERNATIVE COMPLIANCE PAYMENTS (ACP) - Reject cuts that would take critical funding away from energy-efficiency and renewable-energy programs.

After the rally, we’ll head inside the State House to deliver our shared priorities, and more than 1,300 'Save Money with Clean Heat Campaign' petition signatures, to legislative leaders and members of the Energy Affordability Bill Conference Committee.
