Are you interested in starting a node? First, check if there is an existing node in your region!

What is a "node"? 350 Mass is a network of local, inter-dependent groups called nodes. These nodes work in their own communities to educate and empower their neighbors to act on climate. Nodes also coordinate across the state to fight for bigger victories.

Here's what you'll need to start a node:

  1. Get your people together.
  2. Support our mission and vision.
  3. Elect 1 representative to the Statewide Steering Team (SST), the decision making body of 350 Mass with a rep from each node and working group.
  4. Contribute to our highest priority campaigns.
  5. Host at least one event each year.
  6. Organize! Get out in your community and educate, empower, and take action!

Why become a node?

  • Grow your power! Connect your community to a statewide, grassroots network of activists.
  • 350 Mass is a leader in the Massachusetts climate justice movement, and we are connected to national and global movement leaders.
  • Consult and collaborate with staff dedicated organizing and legislation.
  • Nodes receive a budget to support their local organizing work.
  • Have your seat at the table. Nodes drive our statewide strategy and organizational decisions.
  • Get your voice out there. 350 Mass has a wide reaching weekly newsletter, active social media, and lots of ways to share your work on our website, including event pages, blogs, and more.
  • Most importantly, we need you. Our movement needs leaders from all over the state who bring unique insights, skills, and passion. To win, we need a lot of people, and we need to work together.
