Our first "Money and Power" webinar to brief town and city officials on how the Save Money with Clean Heat legislative Campaign benefits towns, cities and their residents was a big success! Town and City officials from across MA were overwhelmingly positive about the benefits the SMCH campaign delivers. These include:

• saving the average homeowner $2,500 every year
• saving money on the town or city's budget
• putting solar on schools and transferring the cheap, clean solar power to residents, especially those in apartments and low-income residents (which can also create a revenue stream for towns)
• the power to hold a hearing before the DPU (Department of Public Utilities) when there is a dispute between a town and the gas utility company over ripping up the streets to lay new gas pipes that last 75 years when, by law, we have to be off gas by 2050
