Our legislators in the House and Senate have finally reached an agreement on a climate bill!
We have spent the last 18+ months emailing, lobbying, rallying, and they felt our pressure. We have not seen the final language of the bill, but we have been told that it will drive Massachusetts' transition off gas and towards renewable energy, and it will improve siting policy for energy projects.
*****The following dates are tentative.******
NOTE: The Senate vote has been changed from Monday 10/21 to Wednesday 10/23.
We are still waiting to hear exactly when the votes will take place. It will hopefully be early the week of the 21st, but we don't know yet... it's the Massachusetts statehouse after all.
Come to the Statehouse on Wednesday 10/23 at 11am to join 350 Mass members and other movement leaders to watch the Senate vote to pass this essential climate bill.
We anticipate a House Vote Thursday 10/24 at 11am, but the timing of both votes is still uncertain—stay tuned for updates!
