The Statewide Legislative Team oversees and executes our legislative advocacy strategy. The SLT working group sets our legislative priorities and uses grassroots lobbying and community action to pass progressive legislation. We work closely with partners and coalitions to assess political possibilities and build collective power. Members draft legislation and ballot initiatives, mobilize attendance at hearings and lobby days, promote petitions, educate about priority bills, and strategize and collaborate with legislators to move bills through to passage. Leaders coordinate closely with the Statewide Political Team of 350 Mass Action to promote legislative reform and the election of climate champions. The SLT meets regularly to monitor and strategize for the best outcomes. All members are welcome.
