350 Mass members can request services from the volunteer driven Tech Working Group. These services are meant to help our nodes, working groups, and campaigns do great outreach!

Our goal is to make requesting tech services simple, still we ask that 350 Mass groups select a "tech liaison." This is the person who know what to request and how to request it. With practice, liaisons and trained tech working group volunteers can swiftly tackle tech projects.

1. Sending targeted emails

Groups can request targeted email blasts that reach out to specific groups, for example: people in your region, people involved in your campaign, or people who attended a recent event.

2. Creating events pages on our website

Groups can request new events on our Events and Calendars page. This is a great way to advertise our events, and we can use these pages to track RSVPs and attendees for easy follow up and targeted out reach in the future.

Staff and trained volunteers can add and update other website content, including node pages, the members page, etc. If you want to to update any other website content, please reach out to [email protected] you can also post in the #comms_requests channel on 350 Mass Slack.

3. Requesting data from our database

350 Mass has met thousands of people since we launched over a decade ago, and we track new sign ups and volunteer activities. 350 Mass member leaders can request contact information from people who have opted-in to use for organizing within 350 Mass.

We owe it to our contacts to treat their data securely and respectfully. We may have to say "no" to requests for contact information that fall outside the scope of what our contacts opted-in to.
