The Massachusetts Fair Share Amendment–or “millionaires tax”—will be a referendum on the ballot in November 2022.  If it passes, our state will be able to make the big and sustained investments in our entire transportation system necessary to save our planet.

Transportation accounts for 42% of Massachusetts’ greenhouse gas emissions and causes severe pollution problems, especially in environmental-justice communities.  Because of decades of under-funding, Massachusetts’ transit and bike/pedestrian facilities are in abysmal shape, and traffic congestion is rampant.  The Fair Share Amendment will enable us to make vital, transformative investments, such as electrifying all buses and trains, and to greatly expand public electric-vehicle charging stations.
