Join the fight to help people Save Money with Clean Heat.
Fight climate change without breaking the bank. The Save Money with Clean Heat campaign aims to cut carbon emissions from all 2 million MA homes to net zero by 2050, saving the average homeowner $2,000 per year without any tax increases. This campaign supports legislation that will move Massachusetts off its dependency on gas and towards a safe, clean, and climate-friendly energy future.
To win, we're going to lobby, rally, and teach our communities. We will be joined by our partners in Third Act! to drive this campaign forward. There are endless ways to get involved, so sign up to get in the loop about upcoming ways to join the movement!
Here are the 5 bills that make up our legislative platform:
- MassSave Reform S2247/H3565 (Creem/Sangiolo): Provides a plan to net zero, a vetted installer network and expert support to constituents.
- Tactical Transition to Affordable Clean Thermal Energy S2249/H3539 (Creem/Owens): Stops gas-pipeline expansion & expands CSS.
- Municipal Voices S2248/H3564 (Creem/Sangiolo & Schwartz): Municipal oversight of utility work. (Here's another helpful fact sheet)
- Green Schools S2275/H3476 (Feeney/Decker) Schools as suppliers of CSS.
- Climate Bank S786/H3937 (Mark/Meschino): Low-cost financing for heat pumps and solar panels.
What can I do?
Our campaign has many ways to get involved.
- Provide testimony, write letters, make calls, or meet with your legislators to advocate for our bills. Make your voice heard! Your state senators and representatives need to know what their constituents want. Use this guide to start your email or testimony. You can use this informative one-pager for even more details.
- Reach out to leaders in your town or city! Our mayors, selectboards, and sustainability councils (and beyond) are some of the best voices to advocate for the Munipal Voices bill. They are key allies in the climate justice movement, so get in touch! If you want inspiration, check out this email from one of our campaign leaders to his town leadership (remember: the best outreach is personal!).
- Join a meeting and upcoming event! We have lots of events coming up, so find one that works for you.
